What is a pressure relief valve?
The pressure relief valve, sometimes called a safety valve, PRV or relief valve, is used for the regulation of the pressure inside an electric boiler, which can build up by instrument or equipment failure. This valve is designed to allow pressure to be released at a predetermined pressure to protect the pressure vessel and other equipment from the pressure limits and once the safe conditions have been restored the valve closes to prevent the electric boiler from losing too mush fluid.
