Following the update on 25th March, Direct Heating Spares is currently open.

Here at Direct Heating Spares our priority is to continue supporting our customers to help keep the nations homes warm, and with access to hot & cold running water.

With millions of our citizens now at home, and the ill, elderly and vulnerable in our society instructed to stay indoors, the demand for heating and hot water for cleaning and laundry will be immense. This is likely to result in more boiler breakdowns and maintenance call-outs, and so demand for replacement boilers and spare parts is expected to increase.

The safety of our colleagues, customers and their families is very important during this time so we ask if you are experiencing any suspected symptoms of COVID-19 please do not visit us and review the NHS guidelines online.

Amid the very fast developing coronavirus situation, we would like to reassure you about the actions we are taking to enable our business activities to continue.

We will continue to review the official UK Government/NHS guidance on an ongoing basis, and have as a result made some changes here at Direct Heating Spares Ltd to help keep people safe and continue to provide a much needed service to our customers. Our offices remain open, with the vast Majority of our office staff now working from home.

Measures are being taken in relation to social distancing and staying safe for those staff whose roles dictate they must be on site to continue our service.

Our website is available and fully operational for your convenience 24/7.

Change to Service

In order to allow us to concentrate on our core services and help us maintain our ability helping keep people safe, warm and with access to hot & cold running water.

We will be making some temporary alterations to the service we offer,

Our new cut of time for next day delivery will be 5pm as of the 26/03/2020

Our contact centre opening times have been adjusted to reflect. You can find more details about revised hours here.

We will no longer be offering the UPS Access point click and collect service and instead be concentrating on Parcel delivery services. You can find out more about our currently available Delivery services.

Our Trade counter will remain operational but will be operating a “lite” pre order only collection service. Find more details about our trade counter revised service.

There is currently no change to our weekend services at this time. Our websites are available 24/7

These changes are focused on the health and safety of our employees and customers and will help us to achieve some of the Social Distancing and safety measures outlined below and more.

Stock Levels

We are in constant dialogue with our suppliers and at the moment are not experiencing any supply concerns. We are still receiving regular deliveries from all our suppliers, so please rest assured that your orders will be fulfilled as you would expect from Direct Heating Spares

Should the situation change and we experience any product supply disruptions, we will update this page and will place notices on individual product pages to highlight stock shortages.

We have seen a small number of customers attempt to buy large quantities of items and have taken an early firm stance on stockpiling with our priority being to continue the supply of goods for emergency repairs.

We are monitoring this closely and measures are being taken to intercept orders which we have deemed to be excessive beyond this requirement.

Social Distancing and Safety Measures

Our fantastic Warehouse and Office teams are doing all they can to support your business at this time whilst keeping everyone safe.

In order to try to halt the spread of the coronavirus, please respect the social distancing guidelines as introduced by the government.

We have implemented a number of measures, and changes in process and ways of working over the last few weeks in order to allow our staff on site to adhere to these guidelines in the workplace.

We are continuing to ensure that cleaning and hygiene protocols are even more rigorous than usual.

Safety of course remains our highest priority. To make sure our customers, colleagues and suppliers stay safe at our offices/warehouse, we are ensuring that cleaning and hygiene protocols are even more rigorous than usual.

All of our colleagues are following personal hygiene guidance and being asked to regularly wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds multiple times throughout the day. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers have been supplied throughout the building for staff to utilise frequently as needed. We have also restricted the use of shared areas (such as staff social areas) to protect our employees.

All business meetings are now held using conference calls, phone calls, and video calls

Nobody outside of the staff is being allowed to enter the premises.
