This part is based near the electrodes. There are two types of electrode available, the flame sensing electrodes and the ignition electrodes. The ignition electrode also known as a spark electrode, is responsible for causing a spark that starts the flame in the burner. The flame sensing electrodes are responsible for ensuring there is a flame in the burner, and stops fuel being added if the flame is not correctly lit .
