Product Information: The pilot burner is a flame within the unit that is needed to ignite the gas that is coming in to the main burner. When the appliance is activated the gas valve releases gas in to the burner which is then ignited by the pilot flame. The pilot flame works in tandem with the pcb and the rest of the pilot assembly to ensure that the gas is ignited safely and efficiently.

This part is present in 6 different boilers in the Ideal range including the Ideal COMPACT 40F , COMPACT 60F , ELAN 2 30F , ELAN 2 40F , ELAN 2 50F .
