The diverter valve is a directional water mechanism that is only found on a combi boiler, which is designed to allow hot water to be directed to the taps in a hot water system or to the radiators in a central heating system. This is one of the main reasons combi boilers are so popular due to the combi boiler not requiring a cylinder to provide hot water to both the taps and radiators .
