IDEAL 138697 AUTO AIR VENT CXC48-116.

The Automatic Air Vent is a pressure safety mechanism used to let unwanted air out of the system. The air vent is automatic as it will shut off by itself when water enters the system. The device works using a small float which is found inside the Automatic Air Vent and as water comes through, the float lifts up and shuts off the valve. This will then stay shut until the level of the water subsides making the float drop with it, the vent will then reopen.
