IDEAL 173880 AIR VENT.

The Automatic Air Vent is a pressure safety device used to release unwanted air out of the system. The air vent is automatic by shutting itself off when water is entered into the device. The device works using a small floatation device which is found within the Automatic Air Vent and as water comes through, the float lifts up and shuts off the valve. This will then stay shut until the water level drops and the float drops with it, the vent will then reopen.
