Product Information: This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap isolates the discharge which gathers in the primary heating/cooling system. This is caused by the alterations in the pressure and temperature within those systems. A discharge pipe connected to the condensate trap then allows any held water passage out of the property. The water contained within the condensate trap can contain mild levels of acid due to carbon dioxide formed by the combustion process dissolving in the water. As this water would damage a metal pipe over time discharge pipes are usually made from plastic.
