This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to contain the discharge from the heating/cooling process. This is caused by the changing pressures and temperatures in the system. A discharge pipe is attached to remove water from the condensate trap and out of the property. The water inside a condensate trap may be slightly acidic due to the carbon dioxide released in the combustion process being absorbed in the water.
