POTTERTON 5119542 FLOW METER ASSEMBLY.

This part is located around the flow switch section. The flow switch is used as a safety mechanism that has a built in sensor which sits in the pipework for both the central heating and hot water systems. The flow switch is designed so that it can detect movement in the pipework and feeds the information to the electronic control which then allows the ignition sequence to progress. The purpose of the flow switch is to make sure there is enough water in the system and prevents the burner from activating if the system is low on water.
