This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to contain the discharge which builds up from the heating/cooling system. This is caused by the change in temperature and pressure in the system. A discharge pipe linked to the condensate trap is used to move the water out of the property. The water collected in a condensate trap may be mildly acidic due to the combustion process and the carbon dioxide which is being absorbed in the water.
