The Air Pressure Switch, which is also reffered to as the APS is a safety mechanism used to ensure the fan is working correctly. The fan prevents a build-up of noxious gasses within the appliance, removing them safely. The air pressure switch is monitored by the printed circuit board, ensuring that it is fully operational; if the air pressure switch is not working correctly the PCB will restrict the appliance from firing up .
