The diverter valve is a directional water mechanism that is only found on a combi boiler, which allows hot water to be directed to the radiators in a central heating system or to the taps in a hot water system. This is what makes a combi boiler different from normal boilers due to the fact that the boiler can provide hot water and heating without the need for a cylinder .
