This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap is used to hold the discharge from the heating/cooling process. This is caused by the fluctuations in temperatures and pressures within the system. A discharge pipe is attached to remove water from the condensate trap and out of the property. The water collected in a condensate trap may be mildly acidic due to the combustion process and the carbon dioxide which is being absorbed in the water.
