The pilot burner works with the PCB and pilot assembly to ensure that the gas is ignited safely and efficiently. When the appliance is turned on the gas valve allows the gas into the main burner and the pilot burner, a flame inside the appliance is needed to start the combustion of the gas which is flowing into the main burner .
