This part is located near the pilot burner. The pilot burner works in conjunction with the PCB and pilot assembly to ensure that the gas is safely ignited. When the appliance is turned on the gas valve releases the gas into the main burner and the pilot burner, a naked flame inside the appliance is needed to begin the combustion of the gas which is coming into the main burner .
