Product Information: This part is located within the condensate trap section. The condensate trap holds the discharge which builds up in the primary heating/cooling system. This is caused by the alterations in the pressure and temperature within those systems. A discharge pipe joined to the condensate trap then allows any held water passage out of the property. The water captured by a condensate trap may contain mild levels of acid due to carbon dioxide formed from boiler use dissolving in the water. Discharge pipes are very rarely made of anything other than plastic as this water could damage a metal pipe over time.
